I just wanted to note any markings.

I found the following stamped on the flat edge on the same side of the outputs of the case to the front and rear.

There is more dirt and grime on this case than I have under my Jeep. Nothing a steel brush cant attempt to remove. My reasoning to remove all the debris is so I can look for cracks in the case and to make sure nothing falls into the case once it is open.

Welp lets start here for the sake of starting here.

The bolts on this cover where loose as hell. Upon removing the bolts it looks like the gasket failed years ago.

Hit the mating surface with a steel brush and some brake cleaner. My favorite cleaning solution.

This is the outside before the brake fluid and rag trick.

Afterwards. Im proud of this so lets put it away.
